Shirley A. (Gomes) Parker, 79, died on Sunday September 22, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Putnam and raised in Killingly, CT, Shirley was the daughter of John L. and Rose B. (Messier) Gomes. She attended and graduated from Killingly High School, after which she moved north and settled in Worcester. She worked for Broadway Deli in Worcester for over twenty years, doing what she loved. Later in life, she met and married Peter J. Savko, who predeceased her in 2013.

Shirley is survived by her children, Jamie J. Parker, Kenneth Parker, Shawn Bartley, Kevin Dessert, Chris Snelling, Mark Snelling, Roger Snelling, Jr., Millie Brusseau, and Jay Wheeler; her sister, Arlene Nally; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Shirley’s family between 9:30 and 10:30 AM on Friday September 27, 2019 at the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn, MA followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at North American Martyr’s Church, 8 Wyoma Drive, Auburn, MA. Burial will take place in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in support of Shirley and her family: Jamie J.
