Obituary for Brian B. Donegan
Brian B. Donegan, 66, of Charlton, passed away peacefully on Sunday August 16, 2020 at his home with his loving family by his side.
Born in Boston and raised in Newton, Brian was one of 9 children born to Edward J. and Rita C. (Geary) Donegan. He was a graduate of Newton High School, followed by Northeastern University where he received his Bachelor’s degree. He pursued his career in Land Surveying, and became certified with his license in both Massachusetts and Vermont. Brian met and married the love of his life, Kathy (Monahan), and the pair settled in Sudbury and later Charlton. They were married for forty-four years. He most recently worked for Hancock Associates in Marlborough.
Brian was a computer enthusiast that loved electronic gadgets and building computers – but above all, he adored spending time with his children and five granddaughters.
Brian is survived by his wife Kathy, children, Emily Williams and her husband Nathan, of Upton, Megan Maisano and her husband Adamo, of Stoughton, Kevin Donegan, of Charlton; his beloved granddaughters, whom he adored, Lily, Ella, Lia, Luna, and Vera; his siblings, Edward Donegan, of West Bridgewater, James Donegan of Amesbury, Maureen Branzberg of Ashland, Kevin Donegan of Wareham, Stephen Donegan of Ashland, Andrew Donegan of Peabody, David Donegan of Ashford, CT, and Michael Donegan of Beverly; his sister-in-law, Jeanne Stapleton of New Boston, NH; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN), 4520 East West Highway, Suite 610 Bethesda, MD 20814.
